Weekly Photo Challenge: Mountains

Playtime with *Gumshoe

I’m on the verge of transitioning from one point to another.  Slowly (but surely!) turning over my responsibilities and detaching myself from my current work.  I want to rant about my day yesterday but I doubt my words could give justice to what I felt yesterday.  I’d be clumsy about it to say the least!

Nevertheless, I’m doing my best in being optimistic about my situation.  No updates first about my job hunting.  I’m going to keep that as a mystery first.  Besides, no point dwelling on things that are yet to happen.  After all, there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel.

More like…

The Light of Daybreak…
peeking through…
Shedding light…
a serene whisper of encouragement in all you do.
A hope-full light

Maxima Aquafun Adventure (Photos)

Darn it.  I missed out on a week of posting.  I’ve been meaning to post something last week but ended up failing.

Anyway, I just arrived home (it’s around 7pm here) from an outing with some of my officemates and their families.  I initially planned it, then ended up planning EVERYTHING from the time and date, menu, and even buying at the market all the needed food for the outing.  So tiring!  But, it was all worth it.  And since I got to borrow a waterproof camera (Thanks Rai!  Thanks Ris!), I got to have a couple of shots in the water.

The group I went out with has been planning for quite sometime now to bond and go out, particularly at MAXIMA AQUAFUN – the home of the Abyss.

I’m really, really tired right now so I’ll just show you a couple of pictures I got from this afternoon.

Anyway, that’s all for now.  I’m SO sleepy.  Post a longer one tomorrow.

Goodnight!

A “Tank-full” Adventure

This post has been long overdue.  I don’t think with the recent events in my life, the excitement I felt during the time I shot the succeeding pictures would still hold the same thunder.

Anyway, as I promised myself I would be posting these pictures from the early walk I took with my BFF.  We took candid pictures of each other, the landscapes/seascapes, the busy early morning peddlers, animals, the sun-less horizon (which was quite a disappointment), and the highlight of our walk: Army Tanks.

My bff was so game in taking pictures of the said tanks but being in the custody of the Philippine Army, it was within the boundary of their camp.  I was pretty sure that they would allow civilians to enter but you would need to know someone inside to get permission.  So there we were by the pier eying our target subject, so close and yet so far.  I suggested to my bff that we transfer by their barren canteen since the closer we were, the more likely we would be able to talk to the officer who was taking their K9 dogs for an early jog.

The longer we were looking, the more we got their attention (I think!) because two soldiers were taking pictures on top of the tanks.  Then, our luck struck!  The same soldier (who was having his picture taken) called on us to enter.

This was it!!!  I was SO excited to be allowed access.  And I think my bff was too.  It was the consolation prize for the sun-less day.  However, our excitement was rushed since (being girls), the other soldiers who were still inside their barracks went outside to “welcome” us so to speak.  I felt like being under a microscope being observed with every movement I made.  But that was okay.  The important part was taking photos of REAL ARMY TANKS.

Here’s some souvenir photos I got.

The tanks!

One for me and one for bff. ^___^

Night Walk Adventure with my BFF

It was last October 10 (a Saturday) when I convinced myself to go for a jog.  The jog, however, turned into a walk which I enjoyed.  I was texting my BFF the sites I saw, and the activities I’ve observed.  By the time I got home, she was finally able to reply.  She also wanted to take a picture trip on that day.  At around noon we were already planning on having a sleepover at home.

I was quite hesitant at first since our house wasn’t cleaned yet.  So what happened?  I got to clean up the house (something which I don’t normally do) all for the sake of my BFF.  It’s been quite some time since we’ve had sleepovers since most often it’s a last minute decision coz’ it’s too late to go home.  All the same, it was about bonding moments.

We met up at Gaisano Mall (I was a little late in arriving since I had an urge to just walk there) and had dinner.  She picked up the bag which I was borrowing from one of our BFF’s sister (thanks by the way!) and we were off to our house.  Since it was still too early to call it a night, I suggested going for a walk.

Because of the Fire Alarm

Rai didn’t bring her DSLR so we contented ourselves in taking pictures with my point-and-click camera.  What started out as just a simple “take-a-picture here” and “go-pose-over there” moments ended up into a laughing spree.

I’ll post a few photos once my connection becomes stable… and you’ll get the idea. :)

Why “because  of the fire alarm”?  Well it was just taking random pictures at the beginning.  But when we saw the fire alarm by the side of the wall, everything else followed theme.

Photos of My Walk

Just to give you a view of what I saw, here are some pictures I’d like to share with you.  Again, it’s at Sta. Ana Wharf by early morning including other sceneries.

“Cakes” for friends

This isn’t really much to post about.  But I was just browsing over my old pictures when I came across some photos of cakes I made for my friends.  Sappy yes, but it’s the thought that counts.

Donut Cake
Cookie Cake

That’s all for now.
