Birthday Top Billboard Song

(This one made my day.)

I usually visit Chico Garcia‘s Strange Fruit blog for a perk-me-up during my low days and just to check on updates and information.  A couple of times his About Me inserts on his posts catches my attention – the statement:

“If you were to believe one pop existential theory, the song that was number one on the week of your birth, will dictate the theme of the rest of your life.”

Interesting.

I should check it out.

The result?  It’s Ray Parker Jr.’s hit – GHOSTBUSTERS.

I wasn’t so sure on what I’d be expecting, but finding this one out was quite… hilarious.  LOL.  I can honestly say that my birth was a time for ghostbustin’! LOL.  And I guess, I will forever be hooked with soundtracks.

I’d forgotten how the plot in the movies (and the animated series) played out.  The theme song was the main thing that have stuck in my brain.

If there’s something strange
In your neighborhood
Who you gonna call
(Ghostbusters)
If there’s something weird
And it don’t look good
Who you gonna call
(Ghostbusters)

Catchy tune with phrases that have been associated with the franchise for years… maybe I should apply it too: “Who you gonna call?”  Maybe that’s why I get called when problems at work arise. LOL.

If you’re seeing things
Running through your head
Who can you call
(Ghostbusters)
An invisible man
Sleeping in your bed
Oh, who you gonna call
(Ghostbusters)

If I were to get serious in pursuing my psychology profession, this will definitely be my jumpstarter.  Ghosts of the unforeseen kind aren’t limited in the paranormal world after all.
